Jane Davidson began her vocal studies with Peggy Dwyer in Windsor Ontario and piano studies with Mary Leah and Betty Knowles. Jane continued her studies at Wilfrid Laurier University where she studied performance with Dr. David Falk and was granted the degree of Honours Bachelor of Music.  Jane studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg Austria with Dr. Sarah Arneson.

Davidson is two time OMFA Provincial Festival winner and also won the Inmont of Canada Vocal Award, and the City of Chatham Rose bowl.  Jane has performed the role of Countess in Marriage of Figaro, Mimi, in La Boheme, and Cupid in The Indian Queen.

Jane enjoys performing 21st century music, and several pieces have been written expressly for her, including Songs of Earth and Heaven by Canadian composer, Robert Azsmies.  An avid recitalist, Jane has performed recitals in Canada, the U.S.A and Europe and has performed in concert with Grammy Award winning Canadian Baritone Kevin McMillan.  Jane, a social justice advocate, has organized recitals for the victims of Katrina, and several for safe water wells in St. John’s South Africa.  Jane recently joined the Arcady under the direction of Ronald Beckett.
 
    Jane is the director of Music at Three Willows United Church in Guelph where she has several choral groups.  She also enjoys teaching and has a very large studio in Kitchener-Waterloo, with students taking part in serious competitions, pursuing stage careers and academic music at University and College.
